ABOUT 1080 DISC GOLF
Formed in 2007, 1080 Disc Golf focuses exclusively on producing the highest quality golf discs available. Made from ultra-grippy Putting plastic or super-tough Urethane based Driving plastic, a golf disc from 1080 Disc Golf will offer exceptional feel, unmatched durability and predictable flight.
To achieve this, we have incorporated the following features into our new Radius Short Range:
Gyroscopic Design
The new Radius Short Range puts more of the disc’s weight into the rim. This gyroscopic design keeps the Radius flying straighter for more of its flight. The result? Putts, approach shots, and short drives that stay on your intended line longer giving you a better chance to make the shot. One interesting result of the gyroscopic design is that the Radius has a very thin flight plate, which creates less space between your fingers and thumb.
Beadless Rim
The Radius is built around a beadless rim that creates a great “old-school” feel, a smooth, consistent release and a straighter, more stable flight. But unlike the old days, the Radius doesn’t sacrifice durability thanks to the premium quality, putting and driving plastics we’ve chosen specifically for the Radius and Radius Driver.
High-Quality Plastic that Requires Minimal Blending
When designing every 1080 Premium Golf Disc, our goal is to offer great feel, great flight, and unparalleled consistency. To achieve this, we use high quality plastics that require minimal blending. The Radius Short Range and Radius Driver are the first examples of this unique approach, with more models to follow.
Mold and Run Numbers on Every Production Disc
To make absolutely sure you’re getting a disc that feels and flies the way you like, 1080 Premium Golf Discs include run numbers on every production disc. No more hunting down discs by color, hotstamp, or some other amorphous criteria. The first number indicates the mold used or mold revision. The second number indicates the run from that mold.
Available in Putting or Driving Plastic
The Radius is available in our new and distinctive Putting and Driving plastics. Thanks to its high rubber content, our Putting Plastic is ultra-grippy with a great “memory” that helps it stand up to abuse. The Radius Driver is stiffer, has awesome glide, and its Urethane base makes its as tough as any golf disc ever made. It’s perfect off the tee or as a predictable, straight-flying approach disc.
